Chiswick - The Fire Brigade & The Colour Monster!

Hello, lovely families!

What a week it's been, with the unmistakable arrival of autumn bringing a shift in the weather! We've embraced the cooler air, the colourful leaves, and of course, the muddy puddles that are just begging to be splashed in. There's something magical about this time of year, and the children have been loving every minute of it.

This week was packed with excitement, especially when it came to role-play! Our little adventurers turned into all kinds of professionals—from police officers to doctors and firefighters. To make this experience even more special, we had a thrilling visit from the local fire brigade! The children were thrilled to meet real firefighters, learn about their important jobs, and even get up close with the fire engine. It was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning and sparked plenty of imagination throughout the week.

We've also been spending time exploring and understanding our emotions with the help of our favourite character, the Colour Monster. The children dove into conversations about different feelings and how to manage them. We practiced calming strategies and learned new ways to express our emotions, making the children more aware of their feelings and how to handle them. It’s been a beautiful journey of self-awareness and growth.

On top of that, our beloved Eco-Forest Club is back and buzzing with excitement! This term, the children have been busy exploring the gardens and deepening their connection with the natural world. We’re diving into eco-friendly projects to support the forest and its wildlife. Sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday this half-term (with days switching every new term). We’ve already started learning more about the trees around us and planning new ways to give back to the environment we love so much.

All in all, it’s been an incredible start to autumn, filled with adventures, creativity, and connection with both nature and each other.

Looking forward to more explorations in the weeks ahead!
