Chiswick - Space Week!

We've had an exciting and inspiring week filled with celebrations of Black History Month and Space Week! 🌍✨

One of the highlights of our week was writing our own blues tunes, where we learned about the origins of this soulful music style and how it became a powerful expression of African American history. The children got creative and rhythmic, exploring different instruments and rhythms.

Another special moment was learning about Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel into space! Inspired by her trailblazing journey, the children built their own rockets and embarked on an imaginative adventure, zooming through the stars, chasing aliens, and marvelling at shooting stars. 🚀👽✨

The space theme didn’t stop there! The children also enjoyed creating "space meals" in our SPACE-tacular café, cooking up all sorts of delicious cosmic treats for astronauts and aliens alike. It was an out-of-this-world experience!

And, as the spooky season approaches, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting a Pumpkins and Potions Halloween Party on 1st November from 4 to 5:30 PM at the Hogarth Center! 🎃🧪 This is a family event, and we would love to see you all join in the fun—costumes, potions, and all! Get ready for a magical and spooky celebration.

We can't wait for more adventures next week and to see you all at the Halloween party!
