Fulham - Kings & Queens of the Forest!

We’ve had such a fabulous week at Little Forest Folk Fulham! ⭐️

🍕 We made our very own pizzas using pita breads, cheese, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes and pepper slices. Children got to choose and arrange their pizza toppings with complete independence and took their masterpieces home to bake and eat.

🍂 As we have been looking forward to Little Forest Folk Fulham’s 8th birthday next week, we have been starting our celebration preparation early- with some nature crowns! Our little adventurers got to be the Kings and Queens of the forest by glueing and sticking an array of natural finds onto a paper crown. We had a lovely autumnal nature walk where the children worked together to find the most interesting colours/patterns. We spotted all the classic autumnal colours like red, orange, yellow and crunchy brown leaves!

🧗 We had another great array of assault courses, with varying difficulty to challenge our confident climbers but also to attract our new little ones who are still getting used to our crazy climbing frames! We repurposed some tuff trays and filled them with water, placing them underneath a balancing beam. Our little explorers had to ‘walk the plank’ or ‘tight rope’ over a stream, making sure not to fall into the water!

🪡 Our Little Forest Folk-ers worked on their early writing skills by strengthening those hand muscles and developing their hand-eye coordination with some paper threading/weaving. They wove slips of paper in and out of a paper loom, which is quite fiddly and tricky, and it was great to see some real persistence and motivation to create some beautiful and colourful woven patterns.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
