Chiswick - Owl Babies and Superworm!

☀️☔️We’ve had an incredibly fun-filled week in the forest with mixed weather and a lot of fun and memorable moments☔️☀️

🌿 We started the week off by categorising different plants such as lavender, rosemary and lemon balm. We talked about all the wonderful aromas of the plants and discussed the different leaf shapes we could see 🌿

🎳 We had a lot of fun playing bowling together. We aimed our bowling balls accurately and made our strikes. We think we might have some professional bowlers amongst us! 🎳

🎨 We got super creative and tried out marbling. We used different colours to create swirly affects in our paint. We watched the paint as it swivelled around like a galaxy 🎨

📚 We spent a lot of time reading together. Some of our favourite books this week include Owl Babies and Superworm. We love the books so much we can even recite some of the story! 📚

✨We kept super active this week and had a lot of fun on the slack line, balancing like acrobats! We also swung incredibly high on the swing, reaching for the stars ✨

🐛 It wouldn’t be an ordinary day in the forest if it didn’t involve some creepy crawlies. We spent a whole morning searching for bugs under damp logs, on the trees and between the leaves. We found wiggly worms, black beetles and even a few centipedes 🐛

🌳 It’s been a jam-packed, incredible week here in the forest. Despite the wet weather, we’ve made the most of our time outdoors. We’ve also said farewell and good luck to some of our forest friends at our picnic this afternoon too. You will forever be ‘Little Forest Folk’ and we hope you come back to visit in the holidays very soon!🌳
