Rainbow ribbons paved a trail leading our holiday friends to camp where all the magic happens.
Nature continues to awaken as more life begins in the forest and this week, we have had the privilege of seeing coot eggs in the nest under the bottom of a Mother Coot and Terrapins sunbathing by the water!
Our Little Forest Folk-ers got to show the holiday campers our beloved Grandpa tree, where we all made wishes and wrapped our arms around our friendly giant. Alongside was the mighty waterfall, which was at full speed and very loud!
The slack line came out where our friends wibbled and wobbled at ditch camp, the super swing came out later in the week and everyone was so eager to have a go, even the educators! Some of us also chose to relax in the hammock enjoying the bird song and sunshine or asked to be swung into a world of imagination.
The mud kitchen this week also became a building site where mudslides were being prepped at different camps as we moved about. Even in warmer weather we can’t get enough of the mud, so found ways to make a mucky slip and slide.
There was new activity brought to the forest kitchen using our natural resources to cook up some healing potions. Also encouraging the potential of new ideas, we decorated our own plant pots which we hope to be a place for new seeds to spout.
Our forest is speckled in white from the fallen blossom creating a spring snowfall, colours are multiplying with bucket hats, straw hats, sunglasses, and brightly coloured wellies.
Later in the week still being fascinated by the magnificence of Mother Nature making our forest a home for so many different little lives, we thought it was time to give some love and care back, so we went out with our litter pickers and bin bags to show our appreciation.
We tried hard to keep our end of the week Easter egg hunt a surprise although there were some whispers of speculation. With there being chocolate prizes, the rush for finding the eggs which was exciting enough, was fuelled with the idea of getting to have a taste!
We are so thankful for our holiday camper weeks as we all get to meet new or reconnect with known faces and share ideas, conversations, and memories.
Self love idea:
Some memories are not so comfortable to reflect on, in those moments of reflection, take a step back and be a friend to the younger you, listen and offer love and comfort.
You can give it to everyone else so why not try keeping some time and love for yourself.
Together we can heal the world one heart at a time.
See you next week you lovely bunch and we hope you have a lovely Easter weekend!
