Hello, dear forest families,
As we bid farewell to the spooktacular Halloween season, we are excited to share our latest week filled with adventures and learning. Our young explorers delved into a range of activities that ignited their curiosity and creativity.
๐ Storytime Sensations: We kicked off the week at our new camp, embarking on thrilling adventures inspired by two beloved tales. In our sensory tuff tray, we ventured through various environments, just like the characters in "We're Going on a Bear Hunt." The children delighted in feeling their way through the story.
We also dove into the world of "Stick Man." The little ones crafted their own stick man using sticks, wool and clay, bringing their imaginations to life.
๐ฎ Witchy Delights: Tuesday transported us to the mystical world of the witches' house, where our aspiring sorcerers conjured up a feast of deliciously slimy snails.
๐ Farewell to Halloween: Wednesday was a day of celebration, saying goodbye to Halloween with the creation of pumpkin cookies. The children practised valuable skills such as cutting, peeling, chopping, and squishing, all while having heaps of fun.
๐ง๏ธ Rainy-Day Fun: Thursday brought a change in the weather, leading us indoors due to Storm Ciarรกn. Despite the rain, we were brimming with enthusiasm. The day was filled with clay, the creation of miniature dinosaur worlds, and more cooking adventures.
๐ Eco-Club Exploration: On Friday, we set off on an exciting mushroom hunt as part of our Eco-Club activities. Not only did this provide the perfect opportunity for children to put their detective skills to the test, but it also reinforced our "no picking and no licking" rule.
It's been a week of diverse experiences, and we are thrilled to have shared these moments with your little ones. We look forward to another week of exploration, wonder, and discovery in the heart of the forest.
