As our summer holiday camp draws to a close, now would be as good a time as any to thank the families for joining us this summer! We have met new families, who have fondly informed us they’ll be returning in the future, and we have also enjoyed seeing some of our returning forest veterans. Thank you all for making this summer such a fun one!
We started this week with a lovely bank holiday Monday, and so it was time to get back to the forest for more fun on Tuesday! This week we have enjoyed some lovely adventure walks, before finding a shady location to sit down and have our afternoon snack!
On Wednesday, Educator Laura dug out her palm drill and created some bramble bead jewellery with the children! Purple-y coloured natural bracelets and necklaces were made, which our little explorers loved wearing!
On Thursday, Laura led a bundle dying activity. This involved red onions, blackberries, vegetable peel, petals and leaves, and the aim of the game was to make a big natural style collage, whilst using some of the natural resources to encourage colour change. Our Little Forest Folk-ers had a great time feeling, smelling and experimenting with all the different aspects of the collage.
We hope you all have a great weekend, and we’ll see you all next week for the start of a new term!
