It has been a week of sad farewells and warm welcomes! We have said goodbye to a lot of our forest friends this week as they go off to embark on their next adventures. It has been lovely to watch their growth over their time in the forest and we wish them all the best of luck! With that, we have also welcomed lots of new friends to Wimbledon this week! It has been great to have some new faces in the forest and seeing our experienced Little Forest Folk-ers help our newer explorers so much.
We have been sharing some of our favourite activities this week, including lots of arts and crafts! A popular activity was making our own puppets using paper bags. The children decorated them with their own expressions and added colours and shapes to make it their own. We also took advantage of all the blackberries that are out at the moment and made lots of blackberry paint! This meant the children were part of the whole process and picked the blackberries, mushed them down to a paste and then could use them to create some beautiful artwork.
We have also had lots of role play this week in the forest, and our superhero personalities have come out to shine. Our little adventurers have loved having the hero capes in the forest to wear and take on new powers! We sped around the forest, looking for baddies and finding ways to save our friends!
It has been a week full of mixed emotions, but lots of fun and excitement for the weeks ahead!
