A week ending with a heatwave, has summer finally arrived in the forest?
This week, we continue to say goodbye to some of our very familiar forest friends, friends that have been here for a long time now! We have enjoyed watching you flourish here at Little Forest Folk, and hope to see you back for holiday camps soon!
This week, we have been carrying on looking at dragons and monsters! We even made our own dinosaur hats with built in spikey tails. Children picked their own colour tissue paper, before cutting them into triangles and sticking them to the card, to emulate the spikes.
At the start of the week, we went in search of natural resources to make a big treasure basket tuff-tray. We found pine-cones, leaves, shells and a touch of sand, it looked like the kind of tuff-tray that had been washed up on a shore somewhere!
When walking to the forest on Tuesday, Jamie found a frog in the road! With a car oncoming, Jamie picked it up and took him to the grass verge! Not before taking some pictures to show the children of course!
When Jamie got back to camp, it was lunch time, and so he showed the children the pictures of the frog, and then we all decided to make up our own frog-related story!
On Thursday, as it got a bit sweaty, we decided to have some ice lollies in the forest - what a treat!
Have a great weekend everyone and see you next week!
