Wimbledon Village - Aim and Fire!

Welcome to the only newsletter you need to read, the only newsletter that tells you all about the diverse and inclusive things we get up too, the only newsletter that speaks positively about our large slices of forest fun each and every week!

This week, Olympic fever has hit us on Wimbledon Common! At the start of the week, we replaced the age-old egg and spoon race with the pinecone and spoon race here in the forest! Children raced to see who could get their pinecone to the finish line first!

On Wednesday, the sun was shining, it was beautifully warm, and we decided to head on a walk, down towards the natural spring, this is always a good time to splash in our wellies in the water that congregates next to Caesar’s Well! After this, we went in search of more blackberries!

On Thursday, Educator Laura made an awesome giant archery Olympic-themed activity! This also evolved into a giant slingshot activity! Children queued up beautifully to wait for their turn! With resistance bands ready to fire our large, homemade paper balls, it was time to aim and fire to see how far they would go!

We have very much enjoyed seeing some returning holiday camp veterans come back to enjoy forest fun with us!

We’ll be back with more positive news next week!

Have a great weekend one and all and enjoy the sun!
