Wimbledon - Jungles, Animal Houses and Animal Songs!

This week at Wimbledon we have had lots of exciting things happening with all of our new friends! It has been great to welcome everyone into the forest and show them all of our amazing activities that we do. Our returning Little Forest Folk-ers have also been such great helpers with getting their new friends settled.

Animals have been a real focus of the week with jungles created, animal houses made and lots of animal songs being sung. We used things from around the forest to make the jungle, such as mud and leaves, and the children had a great time creating a story for the animals!

We have also done lots of painting this week. We used potatoes with shapes cut out of them to make some fun prints. This was a great activity for our newer children to take part in as well, as our older hands.

The paint has also come out in the rain and we used the tuff tray to create a colourful puddle! We mixed bright paint in with the rain water and watched as the colours transformed the rain.

It’s been a wonderful week to welcome our new children and we look forward to all of our new adventures!
