Wimbledon - Full Moon and Water Play

The sun has truly come out to say hello this week. While we love seeing our gorgeous meadow and forest grow it has meant that we need to find plenty of ways to keep cool. Our Wimbledon educators have set up some incredible activities from face painting to making our own paper fans. All these sat down activities have done wonders at keeping our children still and staying cool. However, the forester’s favourite way to keep cool is any form of water play! There has been lots of exploration of volume and capacity using jugs, cylinders, and water pumps. We have painted using water and created ice. The little ones have also loved water fights at the end of the day.

Further this week we celebrated the full moon on Wednesday by making salt dough. The children worked together to mix the ingredients and form shapes such as moons and stars. Our little ones also made their own bubble mixture and wands. There has been face paints and swinging as well as so much role play.

Another fabulous week in the Wimbledon Forest!
