Wimbledon - Bug Hunting Galore

With the summer finally arriving in the Wimbledon forest, the little ones have been loving exploring the forest and all its wildlife further. This week the practitioners brought in some binoculars and monoculars, the foresters used these to spot bees, worms, buttercups and even their friends around them. The meadow is also filled with all sorts of different creatures and is the perfect place to watch bumblebees fly between flowers, rabbits hop across and birds perching in the trees.

Both groups have been loving arts and crafts this week, in the foxes our little artists have used small paint pots to colour their own sticks and stones to make wonderful decorations. In bunnies they used their creativity to design their own cafe menus complete with pizza, burgers and cake.

The children have also been loving the theatrical side of things this week and have built their own stage, perfect for putting on a production. There has been a curtain constructed and a sitting area built. Then it was time for shows; we have had amazing dances, singing and even acting. What a great way to bring all the children together!

A great sunny week in the Wimbledon forest!
