Wandsworth - Adventure Walks & A Warty Toad!

The radiant sunlight we've enjoyed this week has assisted us in another batch of delightful days in the outdoors. The children have gleefully enjoyed all the usual miscellaneous activities in the forest, the soaring swing, the stacks of stories, the rocking ropes and more. The children have been blissfully happy from morning till noon.

A special mention must be given to our newest educator, Meera, who has joined the team this week. Both the educators and children have been greatly enriched by her presence. She has offered us her indomitable spirit, her vigilant care and her infectious enthusiasm. Thank you, Meera! It is no wonder that the children have warmed to her so readily.

The children have enjoyed another adventure walk this week amongst the thickets and splendour of Wimbledon Common's summer. They were able to see some buzzy bees and take in the colours and noises of the wood.

Our educator, Dan, made a tremendous find with some of the children at the camp. Looking beneath the logs, they found a warty, leapy toad! After having a long look at it, we carefully moved it to safety beneath the trees. A brilliant find!

Our educator, Sam, has also made a very compelling game for the children where they are able to stomp and stampede around a make-believe pirate ship. So many little pirates roguishly racing across the deck!

It's been a thorough pleasure having another week in the forest, in bright weather and good cheer. Here's to another, where we look forward to continued joy and fun. Have a great weekend everyone!
