As the sun sets on our final week of 2023, now is a nice time to reflect on our final week of the year!
It started off a little differently, as illness ripped through the team on Monday and Tuesday! We made the most of it though, as we used our indoor space for some festive arts and crafts - we made cards for our loved ones, snowmen on a stick and festive paint stamps!
By Wednesday, we were back in our forest, and it felt good to have some normality back! It was a chilly one, so we decided to have a mini disco to move our bodies and keep us warm!
“We’re going on a monster hunt” was a hotly requested song, and so we listened to this and other action songs to keep us moving!
On Thursday, we went for a walk to Cannizzaro Park. Cannizzaro Park is conjoined to the common and is a beautiful natural space with various plants and wildlife to see! We explored the grounds before having a “picnic” snack time on the grass! This lasted a couple of hours, before we headed back to base for a nice lunch for our little explorers who had all worked up an appetite!
It has been an eventful but fun week, a big thank you to families for co-operating with us with the indoor time at the start of the week. We are wishing you all a wonderful festive season and look forward to lots more adventures next term!
