We have all enjoyed getting into the festive spirit in Wimbledon this week!
We started off the week by looking for the big man himself, Santa! He had left us lots of clues to indicate that he had visited camp, and everyone loved spotting all of the clues throughout the day! We noticed sleigh tracks in the mud, heard his sleigh bells and even heard him say “ho, ho, ho”. All the children looked for him on our walk-in before getting to site. We noticed a helicopter flying overhead, so we thought his sleigh must have been too big to park at the scout hut and he had needed to fly over! Towards the end of the week, we carefully left reindeer food on the meadow before site to ensure that they had lots of energy to pull the sleigh.
We have also enjoyed lots of adventure walks to help keep us warm and dry as well as lots of puddle jumping! On our very wet day on Tuesday, we turned the puddles into rainbows! We filled the tuff trays with water before adding powder paint. We enjoyed watching the colours mix before pouring them from one bucket to another!
We wish all of our families a wonderful festive season and we look forward to more adventures in 2024!🎄
