As the curtains close on another lovely week in the Forest, it’s always nice to reflect on the different things our eyes have captured. From the baby bunny rabbits hopping past us to find a snack in the heathland, to the bluebells growing along the side of the road leading into the Forest, Wimbledon common offers so many special moments in nature, moments that we’re grateful for, as we know not all children get to experience this.
We have enjoyed welcoming some new settlers, siblings of some of our previous families, and it has been nice seeing this go full circle, as the once small child, is now the big, grown up sibling.
On Thursday, we enjoyed an activity that educator Dan created, our very own Forest nail bar! We spoke about colours and turn taking, and used some small brushes and face paint to “paint” our nails. This activity proved very popular, with one child telling us “my Mummy goes to the nail shop!”
We continue to settle into our new Paradise play area on Monday and Friday, we are looking forward to starting some planting and growing in our own designated growing patch.
We wish everyone well for a nice weekend, and are hopeful for the return of the sun next week!
