It’s been a magical and vibrant week in the Forest as the children explored the wonders of autumn and immersed themselves in Halloween-themed activities. We’ve been so impressed by their creativity, resilience, and teamwork as they continue to grow and learn together. Below is a detailed look at this week’s highlights.
This week, the children took full advantage of the autumn season in the forest, gazing up at the colourful leaves and incorporating them into learning. They caught leaves falling from our majestic plane tree, turning them into magical wands and funny little faces. This activity nurtured both their creativity and fine motor skills, while also deepening their connection with nature.
In the spirit of Halloween, the craft corner has been a hub of excitement! The children showed remarkable focus and dexterity while carving and hammering pumpkins. They worked their little fingers to create spooky ghosts, paint potions, and fun Halloween-themed bracelets. These activities not only sparked their imagination but also helped refine their hand-eye coordination.
Music has been a big hit this week as we sang songs about skeletons, spooky castles, and Halloween fun! The children gleefully joined in, waving their musical instruments with enthusiasm. Singing together has been a wonderful way to build their language skills while boosting confidence in a group setting.
We are proud of how well the children have adapted to new friends and staff members joining the nursery. Their resilience has truly shone through, with many children stepping up to help one another in the forest. It’s been heartwarming to see new friendships blossom, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
Have a lovely week.
