Twickenham - Gingerbread & Shape Sorting

We have had such an exciting week in the forest!.

As the weather has taken a slightly chillier turn this week, we’ve all been excitedly getting into the festive spirit, and our favourite activity has definitely been making gingerbread people out of playdough. As usual everyone loved squidging and pressing the dough in their hands, and experimenting with all of the magical colours to create some very unique creations! Continuing this tasty theme, we’ve also been reading the gingerbread man story - everyone took great joy in joining in for the famous line ‘run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man’ each time it came around.

Another fun activity in the forest involved lots of different shapes. Everyone had a lot of fun experimenting with the shapes and creating as many different pictures and objects as they could. It is always wonderful to see our Little Forest Folk-ers creative juices flow, and see what amazing ideas everyone comes up with when presented with the same materials!

As always, the big cube pallet and swing were strong favourites once again this week. Everyone was wonderful at taking turns, and it’s great to see our adventurers gross motor skills developing throughout the term!

We hope you have a lovely and restful weekend, and can’t wait to see you back in the forest for more fun next week!
