Ahoy! Sounds like the children had an incredible week full of adventure and creativity! They sailed “boats” and drove “cars”, making repairs along the way. Climbing frames in the forest and zooming around with their wheelbarrows, collecting treasures from high and low. As the sun went down, they gathered under their makeshift den, laying blankets to make it cosy and warm. Some read books, others played hide and seek and the rest created stories with vivid imagination.
The children enjoyed dressing up and performing for one another, the audience cheered as they sang aloud their favourite songs. Children transformed into butterflies, fairies, kings and queens, narrating stories of impeccable creativity.
Our little problem solvers focused on all the different ways they could create and identify shapes. We made colourful rocket ships that whooshed around the forest. Sticks were assembled to make pyramids and cubes that later transformed into magic wands and axes. Little hands pressed, pushed and rolled mud and clay focussing carefully and attentively on what they were going to create next.
Such diverse activities sparked imaginations and encouraged teamwork and problem-solving skills. We are all so proud of our Little Forest Folk-ers this week.
See you all next week!
