Twickenham - Building Houses, Bridges, Boats and Sunbeds!

What a wonderful week we have had in the forest! The sun beaming on our faces, moving clouds to give us shade, and some light rain for the thirsty plants… It was the perfect balance for this season!

This week was all about creating inspiring areas for our imaginative role play. Large muscle movements were at work as we moved planks, crates, tyres, and cones in various sizes to build houses and bridges, which later on turned into boats, then finally into sunbeds… a perfect way to relax! Our palette house was transformed into a cosy bedroom, where colourful sheets and pillows were requested for the ‘baby tigers’ to sleep on.

The fire station theme set up was definitely a big hit this week! Our Little Forest Folk-ers spotted some huge ‘red flames’ by the mud kitchen and so they quickly turned the crates and massive cardboard boxes into a fire engine and drove all across the forest to put them out using pool noodle ‘hose pipes’ and a spray bottle ‘fire extinguisher’. This of course quickly turned into a fun water fight among everyone!

We can’t wait to see what next week will bring!
