This week is very special at Twickenham because we are celebrating our third birthday! The skies seemed to know as it finally showered us with rain that we haven’t had for a long time! We are happy to play in the puddles again and we are certain that the trees and bushes are grateful, too!
We started the week with our budding artists creating a large birthday banner. We formed the letters using masking tape on cloth and painted over them by using bright paint, brushes, sponges, and handprints. We then took off the tape carefully to magically reveal the words “Happy 3rd Birthday!”. Afterwards, our educators helped us draw the black outlines forming the letters. It was teamwork at its best!
We also made colourful paper chains, crowns, and party hats to gear up for our party. Our party goers thought that parties would not be complete without the face paint booth and so they patiently lined up to have unicorns, butterflies, snakes, and their favourite characters painted on them.
We ended our week baking birthday cupcakes topped with edible glitter, sprinkles, and wafers with birthday prints, and enjoying the company of each other.
To our dear Little Forest Folk-ers, parents, staff – past and present – thank you for making LFF Twickenham a magical place that we truly love! Cheers to more years!
