Hello Everyone!
Here at our Twickenham site, things have become very dramatic (in a good way!). Many of the children have been enjoying performing to their friends, with one boy giving a wonderful version of ‘Tomorrow’ from the musical ‘Annie.’ Others have been using the ‘story stones’ to invent their own terrific tales. One particular story involved a witch discovering a flying pig and encouraging it to come down by offering a shiny blue ring (this didn’t manage to tempt the pig). As we always have lots of wonderful cardboard boxes ready to be reused, we decided to create our own puppet theatre. First, we painted it a bright orange and then we attached a glamorous looking curtain to frame the stage. Discovering some fabrics with animals printed on, the group delighted in cutting these out and attaching them with tape to sticks to make their own puppets. Once all the puppets were ready, a new production about a cave full of animals took place. This play had a dramatic conclusion involving a very loud dinosaur!
It is so wonderful to watch our little forest folkers bringing their imagination to life and truly keeping in mind that ‘All the world’s a stage.’
Have a lovely weekend!
