Twickenham - A School Year Full of Fun Adventures, Beautiful Memories and Mud!

Hello, everyone!

Oh how time flies! Can you believe it’s the end of this term already? This time of the year is always bittersweet – saying goodbye to our friends who are moving up to their new school, but also celebrating the wonderful year we have had together and getting excited for new adventures in their big schools!

But before we said our farewell to our friends, we had the best time in the forest engaging in various activities. We started our week exploring our emotions as we celebrated World Emoji Day, where we painted a tree of emotions and hung wooden cookies drawn with various facial expressions to convey our feelings. We also had a meditation and yoga session where we relaxed and calmed ourselves after a long day of chase games!

What better way to hype your emotions than going on a holiday? Our Little Forest Folk-ers have been joyfully talking a lot about their holidays with their families recently and so we transformed the forest to different places around the world… With our creative minds, a pile of old cardboard, planks and crates in various sizes, and our famous mud kitchen… we were able to munch on pastries in Paris with the view of Eiffel Tower, have a boat trip around the Statue of Liberty, marvel at the pyramids in Egypt, and sunbathe at the beautiful beaches of Greece… we’ve got them all!

Our week was also packed with lots of tool work! Our forest trained educators taught us how to use a bow saw and hand drill safely. We made wooden cookies and turned them into necklaces, watches, and little canvases for our art projects. Some others used them as building blocks, stacking them on top of each other to make a tower! We also have a new swing set up in our play area! So much fun!

We ended our week enjoying a picnic with our lovely families, shared stories and laughter (and some food, too!), and said see you soon to some of our friends. Thank you everyone for a school year full of fun adventures, beautiful memories, and mud! Onwards and upwards!
