Putney Heath - Sunny Adventures

This week has been full of sunshine, creativity and water fun and the children have absolutely loved the warm weather and hot sunshine.

A few highlights from our week include braid making, tool work, face painting and water fun. For the braid making we used lots of different coloured ribbons and an educator helped the children to carefully intertwine the ribbons to create some beautiful braids. Some children put them in their hair and others tied them around their wrists and called them friendship bracelets.

Our terrific tool work has to be mentioned as the children showed amazing physical strength as they used our big loppers to cut up pieces of elder. With this elder they carefully popped out the centre and threaded a piece of twine through the middle. They added colourful wooden beads to create some wonderful necklaces and bracelets. Not forgetting our amazing Little Forest Folk-ers and their memory of the tool rules! Great job everyone.

We have had a fantastic week here at Putney Heath and we wish you all a restful weekend. Stay safe in this beautiful sunshine!
