Morden - Riding the Mini Heat Wave!

With the hot temperatures this week, we have been doing everything possible to keep the children cool and protected from the sun! This has meant a lot of water play. To change things up we decided to make a large water play area using a variety of pulleys with buckets attached to them, going into a bigger bucket of water, making a well-like resource. The children really enjoyed this and we had several set up, with a couple using watering cans instead, which made a shower each time they were raised! We also played with ice this week. The educators prepared some frozen blocks with a range of resources inside them! The children enjoyed smashing the ice into pieces and watching it melt in the sun. They also enjoyed seeing how long they could hold the ice before it got too cold to handle!
