This week has been full of sunshine, adventures and new faces and we have had such an amazing time here at Putney Heath.
A highlight of our week has to be our big adventure to Kingsmere pond at the beginning of the week where we had the pleasure of meeting seven geese, some mallards and a heron. The children enjoyed their snack with the picturesque view of the pond beside them and enjoyed counting and naming the geese that came very close to us!
As we welcomed more holiday campers further into the week the children engaged in some amazing clay modelling and the creations we saw were incredible! From palm trees and fish to Pokémon balls and characters.
Later into the week the children had the opportunity to engage in some tool work to create their own bow and arrows. The children carefully used the Loppers to cut some elder branches to the correct length and tied some twine onto the branch to make the bow. They then used different coloured yarn to wind around the branch to create a secure handle. The bow and arrows were then used throughout the day to support the children’s role play. This was such a fantastic day!
We hope you all have a restful weekend, and we look forward to more adventures next week!
