Our week in the forest has been full of adventures!! The children have been loving the sunshine this week, seeing how the different colours are popping out a little more now that the grey clouds and cold wind has passed us by.
Our Little Forest Folk-ers have been really enjoying our activities focusing on maps. The little explorers loved following a cool map which showed many surprises around the forest to find, like the Kings Castle, the Magic Pond and the Rainbow Gate! This brought out so much imaginative play with our friends as they built amazing stories along the way.
Our Friday cooking activity this week has been making broccoli-cheese pies! Maria loves teach us her yummy Greek recipes, and the children get to use so many cool ingredients! This week they were helping to chop up the broccoli and stir it into the cheesy batter. All that stirring, counting and measuring was hungry work, and we loved trying out delicious treats at lunch time!
Finally, we had the best time on our adventure walk this week! We worked together to see all the early signs of spring like the buds on the magnolia tree, the sprouts of daffodils and the new baby green shoots. We played hide and seek, we collected firewood for next week’s activity, and we even had time to play on the swing! We were all ready for snack when we got back to nursery!
What a wonderful week we’ve had, we can’t wait for more adventures next week!
