This week was a time made only for play and discovery here at Morden.
Our weekly highlights included tending to our fruit and veg patch, planting our radish seedlings. Through the process we recall the sequence of sowing, planting and producing. Our Little Forest Folk-ers will do the majority of the sequence independently, which creates a wonderful opportunity for our older adventurers to lead gardening workshops with the younger ones.
Recently, we have had a continual project that the children have supported in leading together, and today we have completed our own puppet theatre, which we have successfully made using natural and re-used materials. Out little explorers have been practicing their tool work to build and construct, using saws and hammers with close supervision. Soon it will be showtime…we can’t wait to see all of the exciting stories come to life in the coming weeks!
We are ending our week around our fire circle with storytelling, this is always a favourite activity with our little adventurers. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
