Playing in the snow!
The children arrived on Monday to a wonderful snowy scene.
We used a brick press to fill with snow to make ice bricks to use for construction of igloos, snow walls and houses! We all practised some wonderful turn taking and patience & worked together as a terrific team to build our marvellous constructions!
We then did some ice paintings, using food colouring and ink stamps on an icy surface to create some wonderful abstract images.
Our Little Forest Folk-ers also had some time with crafts and puzzles to help get warm again if we needed a break. One fun activity was using flour as fake snow on our tuff tray for a much warmer sensory activity than playing with the real thing!
Later in the week we had a fun visit with Santa who read a story & handed out gifts to our excited little ones.
