We’ve had a brilliant week in our Morden forest filled with exploring, building and splashing in the mud!!
Our adventure walk brought us up to Cannon Hill Common with Sarah and Caitlin, where the children found the perfect logs to practice our climbing and balancing skills! The last time we had an adventure walk was before our Christmas break, and our little explorers were so excited to revisit the ‘reindeer logs’. The children were helping each other with encouragement and suggestions for how to climb even higher than before!
Our brilliant crafting activity this week was making our own bubble wands! Our Little Forest Folk-ers used their fine motor skills to bend and shape pieces of pipe cleaner into circle shapes, heart shapes and star shapes. We loved talking with each other to find the best ways to bend the pipe cleaners into the correct shapes. We then tied them to our sticks and dipped them in our bubble mix to make bubbles!!
We’ve had a lot of rain towards the end of the week, which has meant lots of puddle-jumping, muddy play, slipping and sliding and sheltering when we need. But to end the rainiest day, we had a wonderful rainbow!
A lovely week for all, we hope everyone has a great weekend!
