Fulham - Mud & Maths!

What a peculiar week we have had to mark the end of the Spring term! The weather simply cannot make up its mind: rain, sun, rain, sun. However, this has provided the children with some great opportunities both on camp and around the gardens.

We started off the week putting our maths skills to the test as we played ‘Hit the shape’. Our adventurers had to identify the shape they were hitting before using a muddy tennis ball to try and hit the shape! It was amazing to see how many shapes our children knew and to also teach them some new shapes including parallelogram and octagon! We noticed that a parallelogram looked like a slanted rectangle.

The children also transformed into experienced vets this week as we had a vet practice on camp! Everyone did an excellent job at mixing medicines and applying plasters to their pooches and other animals who were waiting to be seen in the waiting room! One pup even had to have a cone on his head. Poor Dog!

We also enjoyed getting absolutely covered in mud this week! The wet weather provided us with the most amazing thick oozy mud to add to our mud kitchen creations. Our Little Forest Folk-ers also transformed an obstacle course tunnel into their very own house and mixed and stirred marvellous delicacies inside.

What a fantastic week we have had! Our sessional families, we will miss you over the Easter holidays whatever you are doing however, we hope you make fantastic memories with your little ones and we look forward to seeing you when you return!
