The time has come where we have reached the end of a fabulous year in our forest, and we can’t quite believe how quick this year has flown by!
Our last week in the forest has been very festive 🎄🎅🏼 and our little explorers have loved getting involved in all the amazing activities we’ve had planned.
At the beginning of the week we all decided we wanted to be like the big man himself, so we each coloured and decorated some cardboard cut-out Santa beards and transformed ourselves into mini Santas!
We had to say a big goodbye this week to one of our forest school friends who will not be returning after the winter break away, so to celebrate their last day we had lots of cuddles and a goodbye party which wouldn’t have been complete without (yes you guessed it) …a dance party!
We’ve enjoyed using the number locks and keys to work on and practise our number recognition and counting skills. And as a fun game, the children created the idea of locking the locks around the legs of the tray and then began to see if they could take them off.
It wouldn’t be the holiday season without the forest housing an elf craft workshop! Our little Forest Folk-ers enjoyed a range of fantastic activities from making pine cone tree decorations, to creating their own snow globe with their own photo inside. Don’t you just love the festive season!
All that’s left to say is: from all of the educators and children here in Fulham we wish you all a restful and merry festive break and we will be back next year for more fun!
