Happy Friday, everyone! We’ve had an amazing week filled with adventure, creativity, and lots of fun in the forest. Here's a peek into all the exciting things we've been up to:
Each morning, we welcomed parents to join us for Stay and Play sessions. It was such a delight to share our forest days with them, playing hide and seek, exploring together, and enjoying the beauty of nature. The children loved showing off their favourite activities and the parents had a blast experiencing our forest adventures firsthand.
Our little forest shop was buzzing with excitement as the children transformed into shopkeepers and customers, selling and buying delicious pretend fruits and vegetables. There were so many giggles and creative role-plays as the kids practised their social skills and imagination in our bustling marketplace.
This week, we dove deep into understanding our emotions and how to manage them. We explored the Zones of Regulation, learning about different feelings and finding strategies to cope with them. The children loved playing with emotion stones and creating expressive faces using natural materials. It was a fantastic way to make learning about emotions fun and engaging.
One of the highlights of our week was making our own cement using sand, flour, and water. The kids got their hands dirty as they mixed the ingredients to create their very own building material. They used it to construct small houses, garages, and walls, carefully laying sticks and tree bark as bricks and filling the gaps with their homemade cement. It was incredible to see their creativity and teamwork in action as they built their miniature structures.
Thank you to all the parents who joined us for Stay and Play sessions. Your participation made the week even more special, and we loved having you with us. We can't wait for another week of forest fun and learning. Have a wonderful weekend and see you all next week for more adventures!
