Our Week in the Forest...
During our half term week, we have been so excited to welcome back some of our friends who left us for school in September. It was hard to tell who missed them more, the educators or the children!
With so many older holiday campers, the forest was full of imaginative games and cooking in the mud kitchen. Not having similar experiences at school as our forest explorers, they were keen to climb and balance on all the trees and ropes in the forest.
We took a few adventure walks to our favourite parts of Chiswick House and Gardens, showing the children who’ve never been before and allowing our older friends to remember some of their favourite places to play. At the climbing tree, we found lots of pieces of pottery and collected a number of samples to take back to show our friends, showing real interest in the different colours and thickness of the pieces.
We built dens, had picnics, toasted pretend marshmallows on a pretend fire, created our own rope course and had running races to see who was the fastest!
We have had such a wonderful week full of exploring and we hope you all have a lovely weekend!
