Chiswick - Marbling, Making Lemonade and Blackberry Picking!

🌳 It’s been another lovely summer week in the forest, with a mixture of warm, sunny days and a few splashy, rainy mornings to keep things varied! We happily welcomed our new forest educator Jasmine, who kept the children entertained with her fabulous storytelling. Our Little Forest Folk-ers were also very excited to befriend a number of new settlers and teach them the rules of the forest, as well as welcoming back our amazing holiday campers! 🌳

🎪🚀 It’s amazing what creative ideas spring up from the imaginations of our little ones! The forest was home to many different imaginary settings this week, from a circus with numerous clowns and trapeze artists, to a space station invaded by little aliens who chased each other around the forest 🚀🎪

🎨👷 We’ve continued to focus on learning about shapes, which the children incorporated into their play through various building and art activities. This includes creating their own obstacle course with logs and other items found in the forest, as well as making dinosaur crafts by cutting and gluing paper shapes 👷🎨

🥶 Meanwhile, to keep themselves cool during the hot summer days, our little adventurers did many different things using coloured ice, from “painting” to building houses to making their own ice lolly shop 🥶

☀️ Our educators brought their own creativity with them to the forest, as well. The children had a lot of fun doing marbling with Tugba, an artistic medium popular in her home country of Turkey. They also enjoyed making lemonade with Briya, squeezing natural orange juice into the cool, summer drink as well. Meanwhile, Tania kept our Little Forest Folk-ers busy with plenty of adventure walks, including trips to the playground and blackberry-picking for snack ☀️

What a wonderful week it was! See you again next week for some more adventurous summer fun in the forest!
