We awoke our inner wild child this week to frolic and flourish in the forest by dancing and being yogis! Our little performers danced like wiggling worms, hopped like bunnies, and scurried like squirrels. We soothed ourselves by practicing calming exercises in breath work and expressed ourselves in yogic movement by picturing us growing like a beautiful tree.
Smiles were shown in the rainbow reading corner. We read books on the variety of wildlife, ‘Through the Eyes of a Tree’, to ‘Super Gorilla’.
Our active adventure walks involved racing to wonky trees, chasing birds and spotting ducks. Our physical foresters continued back at camp being little acrobats and took on the challenging obstacle course, jumping off from tall tree trunks and hanging upside down on the rope ladder.
The mud kitchen stories travelled around the world from Asian squid dishes made from leaves and Italian spaghetti made from strips of tree bark.
It’s always lovely to try and have silence at the end the day/week by listening to the sweet sounds of the forest and birds.
Wishing you a wonderful and curiously wild weekend!
