We hope this newsletter finds you well and excited to hear about the wonderful adventures your Little Forest Folk-ers had this week!
The weather has been absolutely glorious, and the sunshine has graced our days with warmth and brightness. We made the most of the beautiful days by venturing through the gardens, exploring every nook and cranny. As we wandered, we brought along litter pickers to show our commitment to keeping the forest clean. The children eagerly collected plastic and other bits that don't belong in nature, understanding the importance of caring for our environment.
Physical activities have been at the forefront of our week, providing endless fun and opportunities to develop our motor skills. The children delighted in swinging on the hammock, feeling the wind brush against their faces as they soared through the air. The high swings brought out their adventurous spirit as they reached for the sky. And on the slack line, they practiced their balancing skills, carefully navigating their way across.
Creativity also blossomed this week as we delved into the world of art. Giant laurel leaves became our canvas, and the children transformed them into stunning works of art. We embarked on a multi-day project where we first decorated the leaves using hole punchers, adding intricate patterns and designs. Another day, we painted them with vibrant colours, turning them into masterpieces. And to further refine our fine motor skills, we worked on cutting and chopping the leaves into different shapes and sizes. It was a feast for the eyes!
Our little readers and writers have also been busy in the mud kitchen, combining their love for literacy and culinary exploration. They created and wrote down new delicious recipes for our forest cafe, showcasing their budding reading and writing skills. It was a delightful blend of imagination, language development, and gastronomic delight.
As we wrap up another fantastic week, we can't help but feel grateful for the adventures and growth that our little explorers experience in the great outdoors. The laughter, learning, and creativity that fill our days make every moment truly special.
