Chiswick - All things bright and beautiful!

All things bright and beautiful!

Another whirlwind week has flown past! This week, we have been conquering our gardens with an exploration of our grounds in Chiswick, lots of crafting and exciting stories!

The Garden’s allotment was a burst of colour this week! Bumble bees were buzzing about as we went in to discover what the amazing gardeners had grown. Our adventurers and holiday campers had a lot of fun trying to identify the different fruit and veg hidden away. There were green beans, plums, apples, tomatoes, and rhubarb, the list of abundant food could go on and on!

Our adventurers’ crafting activities involved using recycled bottle tops, loo rolls, tape, string, and lots and lots of multicoloured wool to make a variety of characters. The children made jellyfish using vibrant blue string attached to sheets of paper, they wiggled round our camps as though in an aquarium. Educators and adventurers worked together to make cobwebs, swords and fairy wands using multi coloured wool. We had an army of knights and fairies filling our trees.

In the absence of Kate, our educators have had to get in touch with their artistic sides, trying their hand at some face painting! Safe to say that practice makes perfect!

We hope you have a glorious week ahead of you and will see you on Monday for some more fun!

Joke of the week:
What did the bee say to the flower?
Hey bud!
