With warm weather comes even warmer smiles, and this uplifting attitude often shows the way in which we begin our fun in the forest.
We have had some new playworkers come and play this week! Playworkers are employed by Little Forest Folk to work across the different nursery locations as and when needed and we have had the pleasure of playing with Sam, Peter, Angela and Honor this week. It’s been so lovely to welcome some new faces onto camp and show them all the sites of our Wimbledon Village setting, whilst getting to know them and learning lots of new things from them!
We also went for a lovely adventure walk across the dry and dusty common, to collect some pinecones, as these always come in handy for forest activities. Our little explorers lead the way and collected them in little bags before heading back to camp.
In another fun activity, we have enjoyed constructing dinosaur homes with magnet-tiles - trying to find a roof big enough for the neck of a diplodocus was quite challenging!
On Thursday, we created our own polling station in the forest! This was a poll that involved no lying or deceit though, as children voted for which fruit they had for their snack! They had the choice between, apple, banana and melon!
We have had a lovely week at Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village, despite bidding a sad farewell to our first leaver of the summer, we are excited for all of our older explorers to head off to their new adventures!
Have a great weekend one and all!
