What a lovely week we have had in the sun! We’ve made the most of the wonderful weather, whilst also enjoying all the benefits of our shady haven on Wimbledon Common!
We have enjoyed welcoming our families for stay and play sessions this week, thanks to all Mum’s, Dad’s and Grandparents that joined us!
At the start of the week, we thought about how we could implement different water-play activities to help keep us cool during the heat. We decided to start by reinventing our dinosaur stream into a dinosaur valley! The dam was made wider and so the water flowed faster downstream, wiping out the dinosaurs on its way!
The next day, we brought back the car wash concept from a few weeks ago, we made a forest car out of Perspex and logs and sought out some sponges and bubbles to get cleaning! Car wash prices started at £40, before the children realised their prices didn’t match their demand, and so these were quickly raised to £100 for an in-and-out clean!
Some of the children found that the sponges weren’t quite cutting it, and so some branches were brought in to act as a jet-wash, to help speed up the cleaning process!
We had some ice lollies to cool down as well, which we enjoyed under the natural canopy of our forest!
We hope the sun remains whilst the blistering heat vanishes and look forward to another wonderful week next week!
Have a great weekend one and all!
