Wimbledon Village - Little Forest Folk Pizzeria!

This week we have enjoyed the warm summer sun rays beaming in through our trees in the afternoon! Just when we thought Winter was starting to win the battle of the elements, Summer has fought back well to regain the lead!

This week, a fabulous Little Forest Folk Pizzeria was in town! Serving hot and crispy log pizzas to our children! This even included our very own Forest standard pizza oven, complete with a fully functioning door and door knobs!

Educator Karlenne was our mastermind behind our forest restaurant, she even set up a shared dining area for children to sit and share their meal together. From Margherita to Hawaiian pizza, we had it all! The question remains, does pineapple really belong on pizza?

On Thursday, we went on a big adventure walk, to try and find some pinecones to add to our nature pizzas! We also found leaves, and sticks to accompany the cuisine too!

Whilst we were out on our walk, we stumbled across some conkers, and so we collected some up and took them back to camp. Educator Paula had the idea of drilling holes into them, threading them with string, and hanging them from some tree bark, to make our very own woodland abacus!

  • We hope you all have a great weekend, and look forward to seeing you all next week!
