What busy bees Wimbledon Village have been this week .
One of our favourite activities this week was a fantastic adventure walk. As we walked down the path there were so many tree treasures to pick up and observe along the way and then as we came to the opening, we struck gold when we saw the most ginormous pinecones! We all excitably scattered to collect them up, along with some added pine needles. When we came back to camp, we used our fine motor skills to thread them onto some string to make a beautiful necklace.
If you went down the woods you would have seen a dinosaur swamp! . We discovered that quite a few of the names were tricky tongue twisters, but we all gave it our very best try to identify all the different dinosaurs by name as well as digging holes and adding water for them to drink and bathe in their swampy forest paradise.
Friday has been showtime in the forest! There were numerous items on hand to dress up in and when gorgeous sun graced us with it’s presence creating natural stage lights, we knew it was time for action! There were princesses and dragons and of course lots of singing and dancing to be had!
