Halloween and Fireworks!
This week, the children have been interested in all things spooky and Halloween!!
We have all enjoyed exploring our creativity by colouring in and making our own Halloween creations. We’ve had such an array of spooky creations, from pumpkins, to ghosts, to bats! We used the natural environment around us to aid our artwork, utilising leaves to create the bats and ghosts.
Continuing from Halloween, we then focused on bonfire night and made our own firework pictures. We were all super excited to use our new paints and cut toilet roll tubes to create the streak effects!! These looked amazing and represented the colours we see in the sky on this night. As well as the tubes, we also used our fingers to create striking motions across the paper! We all enjoyed focussing on the feeling of the temperature and texture of the paint on our hands before feeling the texture of the paint on the paper!
