Wimbledon - Foxes and Bunnies

This week we have seen so many real-life foxes and bunnies on site! This has been extra exciting as those are the names of our two groups!

This week we enjoyed an adventure walk in search of items of different colours. Using an egg box with each hole decorated a different colour the children set out in search for items. Some colours were easy such as green, which we found grass, leaves, and an acorn however some colours where much harder. The children went in search of some purple flowers we had seen recently and found some not quite ripe blackberries that were red. It was hard to find something naturally pink, but we did find some rubbish that was pink that finished the box!

Over the weekend the grass was cut at Wimbledon meaning there has been an abundance of loose grass cuttings. These have been perfect for play from building dens to adding to mud soups. The children also worked together to build a home for some of the amazing bunnies that are hopping around our site at the moment.

There has been a lot of other exciting things this week. Inspired by some children role playing firelighting the foresters have also had a chance to use a flint and steel, to make their very own fire. We have also been on pebble hunts and picked blackberries. We have explored small worlds using farm animals and building dens using pallets and ropes.
Such a fun week at Wimbledon!
