Wimbledon - 'Aye, Aye, Captain!'

The sun has been shining and the forest is in full bloom now! The children at Wimbledon have had a week full of fun and exciting activities, exploring everything from pirate ships to slack lines!

This week there have been so many opportunities for the children to practice their balancing and showing off the skills that they have picked up in the forest. They help each other climb up onto the slack line and encourage each other as they walk along. A chorus of “you can do it!” echoes around the space as all the children join in with their friends.

We have also had some amazing creations this week. We had a pirate ship made from old cardboard boxes. The children could take it in turns to set sail and explore the high seas! They had a everything on the ship, including a sail and a plank!

We also did some monoprinting this week using paint and a roller. We then displayed them across camp, and the prints looked incredible as they hung up in the bright sunshine.

Yet again there have been so many opportunities to explore new activities and learn new skills!
