Wimbledon - A Beautiful Sea of Buttercups

Every day we arrive at Wimbledon we are greeted by something new, something exciting and this week was no different! The meadow was a beautiful sea of buttercups shining bright yellow in the sunshine. We have had bunnies hopping around the forest, as well as finding tadpoles on our adventure walks. It has been a week full of excitement and exploring!

There have been many adventure walks this week with some children going looking for tadpoles, whilst some went for a picnic lunch in the beech tree forest. Each adventure walk is always full of fun trying to explore different areas to our everyday space and seeing what new and interesting things we can find. Recently we have found tadpoles, bluebells and kestrels on our walks. We note down everything we find and then return later to tell our friends about our discoveries!

When the children haven’t been out searching for tadpoles, we have been getting creative with lots of colourful paints. We made a “cafe” to sell lots of delicious mud kitchen creations and we have also spent lots of time climbing the imagination tree!

It has been a week full of adventure and fun, which is just what we want at Wimbledon!
