This week has seen even more familiar faces return to the forest! These familiar faces have been a pleasure to have back, and have fully embraced the Little Forest Folk way of life.
On the green team, we have seen mud sculptures and statue building, a mud pool dug out and become the centre of many role play games, including one about forest mud monsters! The children also created a fun game where they rolled logs down a plank to knock over a dinosaur at the bottom! The children all managed turn taking brilliantly, and they all knew the importance of staying well out of the way of the moving logs as they came down the ramp.
Furthermore, green team created a game where they tied a dinosaur to a piece of rope, before throwing the rope over a branch and then attempting to rescue the dinosaur from the tree! Sadiye bought us a deck of cards, and taught the children how to play snap, which was very exciting.
Red team have also enjoyed lots of exploration this week, starting with going on an adventure walk and climbing the big steep hill, to get to the top of the sunny hill.
Fairies have been of particular interest with the children, and so the red team have been using their imagination to participate in a fairy school role play game! In this game they have been learning about what it takes to become a real fairy!
Red team also got creative and made some beautiful nature mobiles out of pine cones, sticks and feathers. Some of the red team became interested in the gingerbread man story, so this was also acted out in camp! Chloe brought in an animal anthology which was very popular. The children enjoyed looking at all the different animals, and seeing what features they had that made them look different from each other.
Have a nice weekend everyone, and we'll see you next week for another week of adventure!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
