Wandsworth - A Scorcher of a Week!

This week we had a scorcher of a week at the forest!
On Monday both groups went in their teams for an adventure walk to Wandsworth Common. When we were there we enjoyed some stories under the trees before heading back to the Bowling Club.

Green team have been well invested in some role play activities! This started off at the start of the week with some dinosaur role play, as we pretended to be T-Rex’s and triceratops. This carried on with a fairy game, as we pretended to be stone fairies and rose fairies! This transcended into a family type role play game, with Mum’s, Dad’s and babies using a den that we built in the forest as our home!  Green team also welcomed back some old familiar faces for summer camp!

Red team have also had a great week going on many adventure walks, including a visit to the fallen down tree! Red team had some muddy water play in the dinosaur river! Red team also really enjoyed playing in the rainbow tent that Simon had hung from a tree for us!

With the stormy weather threatening to soak us, we have been learning lots about thunder and lightning, and how thunder can come and go!

Also this week, we said goodbye to the excellent Chloë, who is off to University on her next adventure! We wish Chloë all the best at Uni!

We have also been fortunate enough to welcome Dan to our team. The children have taken to him straight away (particularly enjoying pretending to tie him up with some rope!) and we are excited to have him onboard.
