It was a week full of rhythm and melody in the forest! Our forest orchestra was a sight to behold! The children had a blast banging on drums, ringing jingle bells, and strumming ukuleles. We sang and danced along to our favourite nursery rhymes, and even learned some new ones (imagine their surprise when "Wheels on the Bus" turned into "Wheels on the Mushrooms"!). From delicate handbells to mighty drums, every instrument had its moment. But the real star was the guitar. The children took turns strumming its strings, creating melodies that perfectly harmonised with the enchanting forest ambiance.
Moreover, to channel our Little Forest Folk-ers’ inner rockstars, they decided to make their own instruments out of recycled materials. They filled bottles with pasta to create shakers, shaking them with gusto to the beat of their favourite songs. It was a symphony of joy and laughter!
At the art table, our little adventurers unleashed their creativity. They discovered a secret talent for turning music notes into whimsical pictures. We had notes sprouting leaves and turning into funky forest creatures – squirrels with treble clef tails and bears with bass clef bellies! Also, we experimented with clay and sticks, creating our own musical notes. Our little explorers practised rolling and flattening, turning the clay into adorable meatballs (perhaps they were inspired by our pasta-filled shakers!).
Have a nice weekend! See you next time.
